Dr. Burgos de la Obra, medical director and chief surgeon of Lipemedical, was the first Spanish surgeon to devote himself exclusively to lipedema treatment using and developing the WAL technique and is one of the pioneers in treating this medical condition. He is currently the head of Lipemedical team coordinating a group of surgeons dedicated to the treatment of lipedema. In Lipemedical we are proud to count on a European reference in the diagnosis and treatment of this clinical entity.

 

Dr. Burgos’ approach to lipedema is clear: “Lipedema should be approached as a medical problem and not as a purely aesthetic condition.
